You can call me glabnob, or just glab. I don’t think it’s profound to say that algorithm-curated content providers are motivated almost entirely by profit and ongoing captivation of user engagement, and that any actual benefit to users is incidental to those underlying goals. This doesn’t make for strong connections or communities. I would love to have somewhere to share ideas and whatnot without feeling like I’m making major compromises, and I’d like to build that here.
